Thanks Justin. This was helpful. In your 3rd to last paragraph you state:

“The other thing to be aware of is that the original function worked with video too… and I could not get that to work for various technical reasons.”

Does this mean that when you use ‘thesis_video’ in place of the original ‘Video’ in the custom fields plugin that it will not show. I see you had technical difficulties. Does that mean it doesn’t show in the RSS like the post image does so nicely?
